Workshop on the ICC for the Media

NPWJ, in partnership with the Sisters’ Arab Forum and under the auspices of the Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights, and with financial support from the European Union, organised a two-day training workshop for the media in Sana’a, Yemen, on 4-5 June 2006. The meeting was attended by 61 participants including Yemeni and regional media, representatives of government, Parliament, political parties and civil society from Yemen, international NGOs and members of the diplomatic corps. The aim of the workshop was to raise awareness of and support for the ICC and continue to maintain pressure on Yemen, through the media, to ratify and implement the Rome Statute for the ICC.
