Morgan holds a dual Masters degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, and Mediterranean Security from George Mason University and the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies (MEDAC) in Valletta, Malta, as well as a BA in Anthropology. Her dissertation research focused on the impact of international legislation on the intentional destruction of Cultural Heritage in Iraq and Syria.
During her studies, Morgan interned with the International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law (IIJ), and travelled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to assist in building the capacity of judges in the Horn of Africa to try terrorism suspects, increasing her interest in building a human-rights based approach to justice. Most recently, she worked as the assistant Political Officer at the Embassy of Malta to the US.
