NPWJ and the NRPTT condemn the attacks in Paris and pay tribute to the victims

Brussels - Rome, 14 November 2015

No Peace Without Justice (NPWJ) and the Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational and Transparty (NRPTT) completely condemn the outrageous attacks carried out yesterday night in Paris. We stand in full solidarity with the numerous victims, their families and beloved ones - and with the people of France.

Yesterday’s attacks are a despicable and intolerable assault on a country and its people whose core values and principles embody the antithesis of totalitarian ideologies.

France is a free and civil country whose strength is grounded on and nurtured by diversity.  A diversity of cultures, ethnicities and religions, all coexisting with equal rights. A country where citizens are enriched through this diversity that is the greatest power to defeat totalitarian extremism.

The attacks in Paris are an attack against the core values of France and her citizens, perpetrated by cowards whose only aim is to destroy diversity and pluralism. We welcome the statements by the French and others to leave no stone unturned in their quest for justice for those who lost their lives for no reason other than enjoying the freedom so hated by the perpetrators.
